In health we are working on our interpersonal skills and today we did the marshmallow challenge. We worked in a team of four, (Anne, Nishitha, Jackson, and I). We were given 12 Marshmallows and 8 skewers to hold it all together.
The IP skills we used today were, Verbal communication, and Active Listening.
Did you use any warm fuzzies?
The warm fuzzies I used today were, "You really helped us out".
How did it help with the success/lack of success, of this activity?
In our team of four, it was an unsuccessful activity, This was because we didn't use our verbal communication and tried to work individually.
If you were to do it again what would you do differently?
I would change the way we stacked it, like try make a triangle with the marshmallows and sticks on the bottom and keep building it up into a triangle and just keep adding from there.
What level of hellisons behaviour model were you working at in this activity and provide examples of this.
I worked at level 4 of Hellisons Examples of what I did to show that I worked at this level are

If you were to do it again what would you do differently?
Maybe use different more easier pictures.

Explain our bells -
Each week we have some new or different songs depending on what week it is in the world. Some of those weeks are Pride week, Ramadan week, we have even had a star was themed day, and this week we are having Six60 play because many peoples have requested it.
This week the song is -
Six60 - All She Wrote.
This song is about - A letter from his sweetheart is alleged to have arrived for the sorrowful serviceman. "Dear John," he reads to his coworkers. So, they say, go ahead.
who are the members - Matui Walters is the guitarist
Chris Mac is the Bass guitarist
Ji Fraser is the Lead guitarist
Marlon Gerbes is the Synthesizer
Eli Paewai plays the Acoustic Drum Kit
Hoani Matenga is the second Bass guitarist.
The band Six60 formed in Dunedin and in 2008.
I think the bells are a cool funky way to start off each week and each morning to put everyone in a decent/good mood. And its a great way to tell people what each week is.
Last week in science we mixed Copper Nitrate (blue) with Sodium Hydroxide (clear) to make a bright blue precipitate.
1. Which test tube had the most concentrated sample of Copper nitrate - Test tube 1/completely
2. When we added water what were we doing to the concentration of the solution - Diluting it
3. Which concentration of Copper Nitrate formed the most precipitate,
why do you think this is the case - First one because there were more chemicals in that one then there were in the second and third. Which made it stronger.FILTERING is when you can SEPARATE the solute (solid) from the solvent (liquid).
Separate means to split apart
Once the solvent has been filtered that is called the FILTRATE.
Flute
The Flute was created in 1830 and was used in Courtly music and saw use as a military signalling and marching tool. The flute sounds like a humming, light , and poetic piece of music.
You play the flute by holding it sideways with both hands and blowing across a hole in the mouthpiece, much like blowing across the top of a bottle. Your fingers open and close the keys, which changes the pitch.Early flutes were made with hand-forged keys. The modern method is usually die casting. Molten metal is forced under pressure into steel dies. A group of connected keys may be made in one piece
There are many different types of flutes like
Piccolo, C flute, Eb soprano flute, Alto flute, and bass flute.

What were your Term one highlights - Making new fiends and meeting new peoples. Social Study's, Biology, and Maths are my favourite classes at the moment.
What was challenging about Term one? - Probably the maths to begin with but mostly remembering where all my classes are.
What goals would you like to set for yourself in term 2 - 1. Focus in foods more
2. Do more things out of my comfort zone
3. Talk less and write notes.
